The Lake Norman Wildcats softball team scored 7 runs and held the host Foard Tigers to 5 in the Wildcats non-league win on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Cabarrus for a Greater Metro 4A battle on Tuesday, March 4. Lake Norman will encounter a Wolverines team coming off a 16-1 non-league win over Olympic (Charlotte, NC). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Foard moves to 0-2 on the season. The Tigers travel to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to encounter the Indians in a Western Foothills 3A battle on Tuesday, March 4. The Indians come into the battle with a record of 0-1.
