Texas High School Softball - Groveton bounces Leon
February 28, 2025: Groveton, TX 75845 The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) and the visiting Leon Cougars (Jewett, TX), observed Groveton's softball team get by Leon by a tally of 7-0.
The Indians (10-4) will now prepare for their bout against Mineola (Mineola, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league bout with a 4-4 record. In their last bout, Mineola tipped Brownsboro (Brownsboro, TX), 11-0, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Latexo Tigers (Latexo, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 25 bout, on Tuesday, March 4. Leon will attempt to advance on its 2-4 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 15-0 league win over Centerville (Centerville, TX).
