Melissa Cardinals (Melissa, TX) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Reedy Lions (Frisco, TX), 12-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Melissa upgrades its record to 13-0 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Lubbock-Cooper (Lubbock, TX) to play the Pirates in a non-league game on Friday, February 28. The Pirates enter the game with a record of 6-2. Lubbock-Cooper won 21-0 in their recent league game against Palo Duro (Amarillo, TX)

The Lions now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Wylie for a non-league game on Friday, February 28. Reedy will play a Pirates squad coming off a 10-8 non-league loss to Plano East (Plano, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 4-4.
