The Needville Bluejays (Needville, TX) softball nipped the visiting St. Joseph Flyers (Victoria, TX), 6-5 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Bluejays now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Victoria West for a non-league outing on Saturday, March 1. Needville will encounter a Warriors team coming off a 16-3 non-league win over Bandera (Bandera, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 4-5.
