The United Longhorns softball squad (Laredo, TX), was edged 9-8 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting MacArthur Brahmas (San Antonio, TX)

With the triumph, MacArthur improves its record to 8-11 on the year. The Brahmas host Southwest (San Antonio, TX) to face the Dragons in a 5A Region IV District 28 contest on Wednesday, March 4. The Dragons enter the contest with a record of 5-4. Southwest lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX)

The Longhorns now hold a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to United South for a 6A Region IV District 30 match on Tuesday, March 3. United will battle a Panthers team coming off a 7-5 non-league loss to Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 6-7.
