The Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) soccer nudged the visiting Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

With the win, Weddington moves its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Oceanside Collegiate Academy (Mt. Pleasant, SC) to battle the Landsharks in a non-league bout on Saturday, March 2. The Landsharks go into the bout with a record of 4-0. Oceanside Collegiate Academy won 4-0 in their recent non-league bout against Providence (Charlotte, NC)
