Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), 3-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mountaineers confront the Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, March 6. Kings Mountain will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Chase (Forest City, NC).
