Louisiana High School Softball - Sumner holds off Cabrini
February 29, 2024: Kentwood, LA 70444 Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Cabrini Crescents (New Orleans, LA), 10-8 in a non-league challenge.
The Cowboys now own a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Loranger for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Sumner will battle a Wolves squad coming off a 15-5 non-league win over Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA). The Wolves record now stands at 4-3.
With the loss, Cabrini falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Crescents host Franklinton (Franklinton, LA) to battle the Demons in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 1. The Demons enter the challenge with a record of 4-1. Franklinton won 16-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Hermon (Mt. Hermon, LA)
