Virginia High School Basketball - Grayson County crushes Holston
February 3, 2022: Independence, VA 24348 Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA), 52-25 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Grayson County upgrades its record to 8-6 on the season. The Blue Devils travel to Wythe (Wytheville, VA) to clash with the Maroons in a Mountain Empire bout on Friday, February 4. The Maroons go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Wythe lost 100-1 in their recent non-league bout against Salem (Salem, VA)
Next up, the Cavaliers clash with the Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA) in a Hogoheegee bout, on Friday, February 4. Holston will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 70-39 non-league loss to Lebanon (Lebanon, VA).
