The Maple Valley Raiders basketball team (Tower City, ND), was nudged 66-59 in Thursday's league battle with the host Hankinson Pirates (Hankinson, ND)

The Pirates now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wyndmere/Lidgerwood for a B Region 1 battle on Friday, February 4. Hankinson will battle a Warbirds team coming off a 51-43 league loss to Sargent County (Milnor, ND). The Warbirds record now stands at 2-9.

The Raiders (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Lisbon (Lisbon, ND). The Broncos come into the B Region 1 battle with a 5-8 record. In their last battle, Lisbon was nudged by Tri-State co-op [Rosholt/Fairmount/Campbell-Tintah] (Rosholt, SD), 55-51, in a league battle.
