February 3, 2022: North Caldwell, NJ 07006 The West Essex Knights (North Caldwell, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Irvington Blue Knights (Irvington, NJ), 58-53 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Knights (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Newark Academy (Livingston, NJ). The Minutemen go into the Super Essex - Independence test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Newark Academy was tipped by University (Newark, NJ), 68-63, in a non-league test.
The Blue Knights now own a 5-10 record. They play next when they host Seton Hall Prep for a Super Essex - American test on Tuesday, February 8. Irvington will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 63-57 league win over Central (Newark, NJ). The Pirates record now stands at 13-3.
