South Dakota High School Basketball - Lower Brule can't hold off Wessington Springs
February 3, 2022: Lower Brule, SD 57548 The Wessington Springs Spartans basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the host Lower Brule Sioux to 52 in the Spartans non-league victory on Thursday.
The Spartans now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tripp-Delmont/Armour for a B Region 6 contest on Saturday, February 5. Wessington Springs will battle a Nighthawks team coming off a 70-62 league win over Marty Indian (Marty, SD). The Nighthawks record now stands at 6-8.
The Sioux (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Flandreau Indian (Flandreau, SD). The Indians come into the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Flandreau Indian was nudged by Centerville (Centerville, SD), 67-9, in a non-league contest.
