Liberty Lions (Jackson, NJ) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Brick Memorial Mustangs (Brick, NJ), 42-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Liberty upgrades its record to 2-11 on the season. The Lions travel to Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ) to play the Panthers in a Shore B - South bout on Thursday, February 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-6.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Ranney (Tinton Falls, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 4. Brick Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 16-15 season record. The go into the bout with a 9-8 record after their 71-61 non-league win over Matawan Regional (Aberdeen, NJ).
