The East Central Eagles basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Cromwell Cardinals to 48 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McGregor for a non-league contest on Monday, February 6. East Central will battle a Mercuries team coming off a 49-42 non-league loss to Wrenshall (Wrenshall, MN). The Mercuries record now stands at 3-12.

The Cardinals (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Barnum (Barnum, MN). The Bombers enter the non-league contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Barnum ran past Cook County (Grand Marais, MN), 68-50, in a league contest.
