Michigan High School Basketball - Lakeview nips Mumford
February 3, 2023: Detroit, MI 48221 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lakeview Huskies (St. Clair Shores, MI) and the host Mumford Mustangs (Detroit, MI), saw Lakeview's basketball squad hold off Mumford by a tally of 49-42.
With the victory, Lakeview improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Huskies host Port Huron Northern (Port Huron, MI) to play the Huskies in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 6. The Huskies come into the challenge with a record of 4-13. Port Huron Northern lost 57-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Marine City (Marine City, MI)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Southeastern Jungaleers (Detroit, MI) in a Detroit Public - East challenge, on Monday, February 6. Mumford will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record. The Jungaleers come into the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 32-19 non-league win over Cody (Detroit, MI).
