February 3, 2024: Ponchatoula, LA 70454 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Ponchatoula Green Wave (Ponchatoula, LA) and the visiting Archbishop Hannan Hawks (Covington, LA), saw Ponchatoula's basketball squad wallop Archbishop Hannan by a count of 73-43.
With the victory, Ponchatoula upgrades its record to 23-5 on the campaign. The Green Wave host St. Paul's (Covington, LA) to play the Wolves in a 5A District 6 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Wolves come into the challenge with a record of 21-9. St. Paul's lost 45-43 in their recent league challenge against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA)
Next up, the Hawks play the East St. John Wildcats (Reserve, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 5. Archbishop Hannan will attempt to upgrade on its 19-8 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 18-10 record after their 73-63 non-league win over Lighthouse Private Christian Academy (Pensacola, FL).
