Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs (Pennington, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Bernards Mountaineers (Bernardsville, NJ), 69-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hopewell Valley Central upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Allentown (Allentown, NJ) to play the Redbirds in a Colonial Valley bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Redbirds come into the bout with a record of 4-12.

Next up, the Mountaineers play the Belvidere County Seaters (Belvidere, NJ) in a Skyland - Valley bout, on Monday, February 5. Bernards will attempt to upgrade on its 11-7 season record.
