Ohio High School Basketball - Liberty-Benton nips Defiance
February 3, 2024: Defiance, OH 43512 Liberty-Benton Eagles (Findlay, OH) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Defiance Bulldogs (Defiance, OH), 58-56 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Liberty-Benton upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Riverdale (Mt. Blanchard, OH) to play the Falcons in a Blanchard Valley bout on Friday, February 9. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 5-10. Riverdale lost 74-38 in their recent non-league bout against Miller City (Miller City, OH)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Celina Bulldogs (Celina, OH) in a Western Buckeye bout, on Friday, February 9. Defiance will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 80-56 non-league loss to St. Henry (St. Henry, OH).
