Illinois High School Basketball - Olympia nips Paxton-Buckley-Loda
February 3, 2024: Stanford, IL 61774 Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL), 66-63 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Olympia upgrades its record to 7-18 on the campaign. The Spartans host Illini Central (Mason City, IL) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 11-14. Illini Central lost 50-43 in their recent non-league bout against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL)
Next up, the Panthers play the St. Thomas More Sabers (Champaign, IL) in a Illini Prairie battle, on Tuesday, February 6. Paxton-Buckley-Loda will attempt to improve on its 5-19 season record. The Sabers come into the battle with a 18-8 record after their 53-46 non-league win over Eureka (Eureka, IL).
