South Spencer Rebels (Rockport, IN) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Perry Central Commodores (Leopold, IN), 68-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Spencer upgrades its record to 5-13 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Breckinridge County (Harned, KY) to play the Fighting Tigers in a District 11 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Fighting Tigers come into the bout with a record of 10-10. Breckinridge County won 71-55 in their recent non-league bout against Muhlenberg County (Greenville, KY)

Next up, the Commodores play the Crawford County Wolfpack (Marengo, IN) in a Patoka Lake bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Perry Central will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Wolfpack come into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 55-53 league win over West Washington (Campbellsburg, IN).
