February 3, 2024: Riverton, IL 62561 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Joseph-Ogden Spartans (St. Joseph, IL) and the host Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL), saw St. Joseph-Ogden's basketball squad wallop Riverton by a tally of 74-49.
With the victory, St. Joseph-Ogden improves its record to 21-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host Rantoul (Rantoul, IL) to confront the Eagles in a Illini Prairie challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 5-16. Rantoul lost 79-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL)
Next up, the Hawks confront the Athens Warriors (Athens, IL) in a Tomahawk challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Riverton will attempt to improve on its 20-5 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 15-11 record after their 49-42 non-league loss to Monticello (Monticello, IL).
