Illinois High School Basketball - Rockridge topped by Rock Island
February 3, 2024: Taylor Ridge, IL 61284 The Rock Island Rocks basketball team scored 42 points and restricted the host Rockridge Rockets to 32 in the Rocks non-league victory on Saturday.
The Rocks now sport a 20-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Moline United for a Western Big 6 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Rock Island will battle a Panthers team coming off a 65-32 league loss to Quincy (Quincy, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 15-8.
The Rockets (19-5) will now prepare for their contest against Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL). The Panthers come into the Three Rivers - West contest with a 3-17 record. In their last contest, Erie-Prophetstown was defeated by Riverdale (Port Byron, IL), 61-43, in a league contest.
