Illinois High School Basketball - St. Francis nips Wheaton Academy
February 3, 2024: Wheaton, IL 60187 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) and the visiting Wheaton Academy Warriors (West Chicago, IL), saw St. Francis's basketball squad hold off Wheaton Academy by a tally of 57-53.
With the victory, St. Francis improves its record to 16-10 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Aurora Central Catholic (Aurora, IL) to play the Chargers in a Chicago Catholic - White challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 12-15. Aurora Central Catholic won 63-41 in their recent non-league challenge against Elmwood Park (Elmwood Park, IL)
Next up, the Warriors play the Timothy Christian Trojans (Elmhurst, IL) in a Chicagoland Christian challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Wheaton Academy will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 9-17 record after their 40-31 league loss to Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL).
