Bennett County Warriors (Martin, SD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Hay Springs Hawks (Hay Springs, NE), 49-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bennett County upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Warriors host Todd County (Mission, SD) to clash with the Falcons in a A Region 7 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Todd County won 53-38 in their recent non-league bout against Mobridge-Pollock (Mobridge, SD)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Crawford Rams (Crawford, NE) in a D2 District 12 bout, on Thursday, February 8. Hay Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 14-5 season record.
