New Jersey High School Basketball - Woodstown can't hold off Cherokee
February 3, 2024: Marlton, NJ 08053 The Cherokee Chiefs basketball team scored 55 points and held the visiting Woodstown Wolverines to 49 in the Chiefs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Chiefs now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherry Hill East for a Olympic - American contest on Tuesday, February 6. Cherokee will battle a Cougars team coming off a 35-25 non-league loss to Middle Township (Cape May Court House, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 9-10.
The Wolverines (14-4) will now prepare for their contest against Glassboro (Glassboro, NJ). The Bulldogs enter the Tri-County - Diamond contest with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Glassboro nudged Palmyra (Palmyra, NJ), 37-32, in a non-league contest.
