Illinois High School Basketball - Joliet Central knocked off by Stagg

February 3, 2024: Palos Hills, IL 60465

The Stagg Chargers basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen to 38 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Chargers now sport a 17-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Laurence for a non-league contest on Monday, February 5. Stagg will battle a Vikings team coming off a 49-44 non-league loss to Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 18-10.

The Steelmen (6-20) will now prepare for their contest against Romeoville (Romeoville, IL). The Spartans enter the SouthWest Prairie - East contest with a 25-3 record. In their last contest, Romeoville ran past Plainfield North (Plainfield, IL), 54-43, in a league contest.
