Ohio High School Basketball - McDonald overwhelmed by Newton Falls
February 3, 2024: Newton Falls, OH 44444 The Newton Falls Tigers basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting McDonald Blue Devils to 24 in the Tigers non-league victory on Saturday.
The Tigers now sport a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Champion for a Mahoning Valley - Grey contest on Monday, February 5. Newton Falls will battle a Golden Flashes team coming off a 59-16 league win over Liberty (Youngstown, OH). The Golden Flashes record now stands at 15-5.
The Blue Devils (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Springfield (New Middletown, OH). The Tigers come into the Mahoning Valley - Scarlet contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Springfield triumphed over Ursuline (Youngstown, OH), 48-42, in a non-league contest.
