Illinois High School Basketball - St. Rita fells Loyola Academy

St. Rita Mustangs (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL), 41-24 in a league bout.

With the win, St. Rita upgrades its record to 18-7 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Christian Brothers (St. Louis, MO) to clash with the Cadets in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 5. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Christian Brothers lost 45-43 in their recent non-league bout against Westminster Christian (St. Louis, MO)

Next up, the Ramblers clash with the Chicago Mt. Carmel Caravan (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Catholic - Blue bout, on Tuesday, February 8. Loyola Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 16-11 season record. The Caravan go into the bout with a 23-3 record after their 67-56 non-league win over Oak Lawn (Oak Lawn, IL).
