In Friday's league match, the visiting Hinton Blackhawks basketball team scored a tight 47-42 triumph over the West Sioux Falcons.

In their next game, the Blackhawks meet the Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA) in a War Eagle match, on Tuesday, February 8. Hinton will attempt to move on its 16-4 season record. The Westerners enter the match with a 14-5 record after their 65-56 league loss to St. Mary's (Remsen, IA).
