Illinois High School Basketball - Steeleville topped by Augusta Southeastern
February 4, 2023: Augusta, IL 62311 The Augusta Southeastern Suns basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Steeleville Warriors to 41 in the Suns non-league victory on Saturday.
The Suns now sport a 23-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Quincy Notre Dame for a West Central contest on Monday, February 6. Augusta Southeastern will battle a Raiders team coming off a 67-40 non-league win over Northeast (Cairo, MO). The Raiders record now stands at 15-8.
The Warriors (14-12) will now prepare for their contest against Sparta (Sparta, IL). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 21-6 record. In their last contest, Sparta prevailed over Dupo (Dupo, IL), 73-19, in a non-league contest.
