New York High School Basketball - Red Hook can't hold off Beacon
February 4, 2023: Beacon, NY 12508 The Beacon Bulldogs basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Red Hook Raiders to 53 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Bulldogs now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Port Jervis for a Section 9 Orange County III contest on Monday, February 6. Beacon will battle a Raiders team coming off a 62-52 league win over Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 11-5.
The Raiders (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Marlboro Central (Marlboro, NY). The Dukes enter the Section 9 Mid Hudson II contest with a 1-13 record. In their last contest, Marlboro Central was nudged by Spackenkill (Poughkeepsie, NY), 48-40, in a non-league contest.
