Iowa High School Basketball - Grand View Christian tops Charles City
February 4, 2023: Des Moines, IA 50317 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Grand View Christian Thunder (Des Moines, IA) and the visiting Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA), saw Grand View Christian's basketball squad knock off Charles City by a count of 79-66.
With the victory, Grand View Christian upgrades its record to 17-0 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA) to play the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 18-1. Aplington-Parkersburg won 83-51 in their recent league challenge against Dike-New Hartford (Dike, IA)
Next up, the Comets play the Mason City Mohawks (Mason City, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 6. Charles City will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record. The Mohawks come into the challenge with a 6-10 record after their 64-59 league loss to Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA).
