Maryland High School Basketball - Riverdale Baptist holds off Glenelg Country
February 4, 2023: Upper Marlboro, MD 20774 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders (Upper Marlboro, MD) and the visiting Glenelg Country Dragons (Ellicott City, MD), saw Riverdale Baptist's basketball squad hold off Glenelg Country by a tally of 66-61.
With the victory, Riverdale Baptist improves its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Lanham Christian (Lanham, MD) to confront the Lions in a Maryland Independent challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Lanham Christian lost 70-65 in their recent non-league challenge against Word of Life Christian Academy (Springfield, VA)
Next up, the Dragons confront the Mount St. Joseph Gaels (Baltimore, MD) in a MIAA A - Red challenge, on Monday, February 6. Glenelg Country will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Gaels come into the challenge with a 27-3 record after their 101-55 league win over Pallotti (Laurel, MD).
