Illinois High School Basketball - Guilford nips Stevenson
February 4, 2023: Lincolnshire, IL 60069 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Guilford Vikings (Rockford, IL) and the host Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL), saw Guilford's basketball squad hold off Stevenson by a tally of 74-68.
With the victory, Guilford improves its record to 19-7 on the campaign. The Vikings host Boylan Catholic (Rockford, IL) to play the Titans in a Northern Illinois 10 challenge on Wednesday, February 8. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 17-9. Boylan Catholic won 73-44 in their recent league challenge against Hononegah (Rockton, IL)
Next up, the Patriots play the Waukegan Bulldogs (Waukegan, IL) in a North Suburban challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Stevenson will attempt to improve on its 19-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 12-13 record after their 70-69 league win over Warren Township (Gurnee, IL).
