February 4, 2023: Vernon, NJ 07462 The Vernon Vikings (Vernon, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Hunterdon Central Red Devils (Flemington, NJ), 50-49 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Vikings (14-2) will now prepare for their test against North Warren Regional (Blairstown, NJ). The Patriots go into the Northwest Jersey - Colonial test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, North Warren Regional was tipped by Veritas Christian Academy (Sparta, NJ), 49-45, in a non-league test.
The Red Devils now own a 10-12 record. They play next when they host Phillipsburg for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. Hunterdon Central will encounter a Stateliners squad coming off a 49-37 non-league loss to North Hunterdon (Annandale, NJ). The Stateliners record now stands at 12-8.
