Kentucky High School Basketball - Lafayette tops Shelby County
February 4, 2023: Lexington, KY 40503 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY) and the visiting Shelby County Rockets (Shelbyville, KY), saw Lafayette's basketball squad knock off Shelby County by a count of 82-69.
With the victory, Lafayette upgrades its record to 6-13 on the campaign. The Generals host Bluegrass United (Lexington, KY) to encounter the Bluehawks in a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. The Bluehawks go into the test with a record of 12-16. Bluegrass United lost 82-61 in their recent non-league test against Washington County (Springfield, KY)
The Rockets now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Williamstown for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 7. Shelby County will encounter a Demons squad coming off a 62-58 non-league win over Sayre (Lexington, KY). The Demons record now stands at 12-10.
