Illinois High School Basketball - Limestone nips Urbana
February 4, 2023: Bartonville, IL 61607 Limestone Rockets (Bartonville, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL), 66-61 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Limestone upgrades its record to 3-20 on the season. The Rockets host Metamora (Metamora, IL) to play the Redbirds in a Mid-Illini bout on Tuesday, February 7. The Redbirds go into the bout with a record of 24-2. Metamora won 68-45 in their recent non-league bout against Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL)
Next up, the Tigers play the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 7. Urbana will attempt to upgrade on its 2-17 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 61-44 league win over Effingham (Effingham, IL).
