Illinois High School Basketball - Springfield overwhelms SIUE East St. Louis Charter
February 4, 2023: Springfield, IL 62704 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Springfield Senators (Springfield, IL) and the visiting SIUE East St. Louis Charter (East St. Louis, IL), saw Springfield's basketball squad wallop SIUE East St. Louis Charter by a tally of 59-33.
With the victory, Springfield improves its record to 9-19 on the campaign. The Senators host Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL) to confront the Crimsons in a Central State Eight challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Crimsons come into the challenge with a record of 6-20. Jacksonville lost 64-57 in their recent league challenge against Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL)
Next up, the confront the Edwardsville Tigers (Edwardsville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. SIUE East St. Louis Charter will attempt to improve on its 4-16 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 18-8 record after their 51-48 non-league win over Mascoutah (Mascoutah, IL).
