Delaware High School Basketball - Newark Charter School overwhelms Archmere Academy
February 4, 2023: Claymont, DE 19703 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Newark Charter School Patriots (Newark, DE) and the host Archmere Academy Auks (Claymont, DE), saw Newark Charter School's basketball squad wallop Archmere Academy by a count of 50-17.
With the victory, Newark Charter School upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Patriots host Red Lion Christian Academy (Bear, DE) to play the Lions in a Freelance challenge on Thursday, February 9. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 11-3. Red Lion Christian Academy won 53-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Odessa (Townsend, DE)
Next up, the Auks play the Delaware Military Academy Seahawks (Wilmington, DE) in a Diamond State challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Archmere Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 43-23 non-league win over Newark Charter School (Newark, DE).
