February 4, 2023: Sunbury, OH 43074 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Big Walnut Golden Eagles (Sunbury, OH) and the visiting Jonathan Alder Pioneers (Plain City, OH), saw Big Walnut's basketball squad wallop Jonathan Alder by a count of 47-24.
With the victory, Big Walnut upgrades its record to 15-5 on the campaign. The Golden Eagles travel to Westerville North (Westerville, OH) to play the Warriors in a Ohio Capital - Capital challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 6-12. Westerville North lost 67-37 in their recent league challenge against Canal Winchester (Canal Winchester, OH)
Next up, the Pioneers play the Mechanicsburg Indians (Mechanicsburg, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, February 8. Jonathan Alder will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 17-3 record after their 61-45 league win over West Liberty-Salem (West Liberty, OH).
