In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves basketball team scored a close 64-59 win over the Metro Academy Mavericks.

The Timberwolves (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Blue Valley (Stilwell, KS). The Tigers come into the Eastern Kansas contest with a 10-3 record.

In their next game, the Mavericks battle the St. Mary's Academy Crusaders (St. Marys, KS) in a non-league contest, on Friday, February 7. Metro Academy will attempt to better on its 15-11 season record.
