Kansas High School Basketball - Blue Valley overwhelms Washburn Rural
February 4, 2025: Stilwell, KS 66085 The Blue Valley Tigers basketball squad scored 70 points and held the visiting Washburn Rural Blues to 48 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.
With the victory, Blue Valley advances its record to 10-3 on the year. The Tigers travel to Blue Valley West (Stilwell, KS) to face the Jaguars in a Eastern Kansas match on Friday, February 7. The Jaguars enter the match with a record of 9-5. Blue Valley West won 59-55 in their recent non-league match against St. Michael the Archangel (Lee's Summit, MO)
The Blues now own a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Topeka for a Centennial match on Friday, February 7. Washburn Rural will face a Trojans squad coming off a 65-60 league loss to Manhattan (Manhattan, KS). The Trojans record now stands at 0-13.
