Tennessee High School Basketball - Jefferson County bests Volunteer
February 4, 2025: Church Hill, TN 37642 The Jefferson County Patriots basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Volunteer Falcons to 45 in the Patriots non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Patriots now possess a 17-10 record. They play next when they travel to Morristown-Hamblen East for a 4A District 2 game on Friday, February 7. Jefferson County will play a Hurricanes team coming off a 66-25 league loss to Morristown-Hamblen West (Morristown, TN). The Hurricanes record now stands at 4-20.
With the loss, Volunteer falls to 8-16 on the campaign. The Falcons host Grainger (Rutledge, TN) to play the Grizzlies in a 3A District 2 game on Thursday, February 6. The Grizzlies go into the game with a record of 7-14. Grainger won 69-44 in their recent league game against Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN)
