February 4, 2025: New London, IA 52645 New London Tigers (New London, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Twin Cedars Sabers (Bussey, IA), 69-59 in a non-league match.
With the victory, New London upgrades its record to 1-19 on the year. The Tigers host Wapello (Wapello, IA) to face the Indians in a non-league match on Friday, February 7. The Indians enter the match with a record of 0-13. Wapello lost 65-34 in their recent league match against Winfield-Mt. Union (Winfield, IA)
The Sabers now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Saydel for a non-league match on Thursday, February 6. Twin Cedars will face a Eagles squad coming off a 77-53 league win over Greene County (Jefferson, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 9-9.
