Louisiana High School Basketball - Barbe overwhelms Southside
February 4, 2025: Youngsville, LA The Barbe Buccaneers basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Southside Sharks to 32 in the Buccaneers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Buccaneers now possess a 25-3 record. They play next when they host Acadiana for a 5A District 3 game on Friday, February 7. Barbe will confront a Rams team coming off a 43-37 non-league win over Welsh (Welsh, LA). The Rams record now stands at 5-20.
With the loss, Southside falls to 10-14 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA) to confront the Broncos in a 5A District 3 game on Friday, February 7. The Broncos go into the game with a record of 10-17. Sam Houston lost 62-42 in their recent league game against Lafayette (Lafayette, LA)
