February 4, 2025: Ashburn, VA 20147 The Herndon Hornets basketball squad (Herndon, VA), was nudged 72-65 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Broad Run Spartans (Ashburn, VA)
With the victory, Broad Run advances its record to 11-4 on the year. The Spartans travel to Loudoun County (Leesburg, VA) to meet the Captains in a Catoctin battle on Thursday, February 6. The Captains enter the battle with a record of 10-9. Loudoun County lost 57-40 in their recent league battle against Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA)
The Hornets now own a 1-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host George C. Marshall for a District 2 battle on Friday, February 7. Herndon will meet a Statesmen squad coming off a 47-43 league loss to Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA). The Statesmen record now stands at 11-10.
