February 4, 2025: New Roads, LA 70760 St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA), 54-23 in a league match.
With the victory, St. Edmund upgrades its record to 19-3 on the year. The Fighting Blue Jays travel to North Central (Lebeau, LA) to face the Hurricanes in a 1A District 5 match on Wednesday, February 5. The Hurricanes enter the match with a record of 11-16. North Central lost 61-39 in their recent league match against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA)
The Hornets now sport a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart for a 1A District 5 match on Friday, February 7. Catholic of Pointe Coupee will face a Trojans squad coming off a 61-39 league win over North Central (Lebeau, LA). The Trojans record now stands at 8-9.
