Illinois High School Basketball - Normal Community overwhelms Springfield Southeast
February 4, 2025: Springfield, IL 62703 The Normal Community Ironmen basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Springfield Southeast Spartans to 45 in the Ironmen non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Ironmen now possess a 23-6 record. They play next when they host Normal West for a Big Twelve game on Thursday, February 6. Normal Community will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 59-35 non-league loss to Galesburg (Galesburg, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-16.
With the loss, Springfield Southeast falls to 14-12 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Glenwood (Chatham, IL) to confront the Titans in a Central State Eight game on Saturday, February 8. The Titans go into the game with a record of 19-8. Glenwood won 52-39 in their recent non-league game against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL)
