North Carolina High School Basketball - Dixon bested by West Carteret
February 4, 2025: Holly Ridge, NC 28445 West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC), 35-19 in a non-league match.
With the victory, West Carteret advances its record to 8-1 on the year. The Patriots travel to Richlands (Richlands, NC) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, February 7. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 1-10. Richlands lost 29-26 in their recent non-league match against White Oak (Jacksonville, NC)
The Bulldogs now own a 0-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Croatan for a non-league match on Wednesday, February 5. Dixon will face a Cougars squad coming off a 37-28 non-league win over Swansboro (Swansboro, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 8-0.
