Georgia High School Basketball - Athens Academy can't get by Banks County
February 4, 2025: Athens, GA 30606 The Athens Academy Spartans basketball squad (Athens, GA), was nudged 32-31 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Banks County Leopards (Homer, GA)
With the victory, Banks County advances its record to 1-2 on the year. The Leopards host Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA) to meet the Storm in a non-league battle on Friday, March 7. The Storm enter the battle with a record of 16-1.
The Spartans now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rabun County for a battle on Friday, February 7. Athens Academy will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 62-43 non-league loss to Lakeview Academy (Gainesville, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.
